Setting up and Understanding Analytics
This post is taken from Newsletter 5.
How to set up and understand Google Analytics.
We’ve looked before at statistics for your website and analyzing how your site grows. Now we need to look in more detail about your visitors – where they come from, how long they stay, what they look at, what they are searching for. This will give us vital info which will help with making money from your site. And Google Analytics can give us all of this info and more.
Do watch this quick video – it’s not by me, but by Natalie Lussier who does a lot of quick and easy techie videos for website beginners. She kinds skips over the setting up Analytics because that part is really easy, but show how to add Analytics tracking to your WordPress site (blogger is similar), and what the info means. Then the interesting part is where you can set goals to track, such as your conversion rate for your newsletter, or a particular ad box, or a page visited, time on site etc.

Thanks!
