Have I gone crazy? Let me pay your hosting.
It’s been a little quiet around here for a while, I’ve not posted very much because I’ve been working on an exciting new project to tell you about. And today is launch day for my new website.
Introducing you to Blogger to WordPress.
I get a lot of inquiries from readers who started off with Blogger because it was free, but are getting serious about their blogging and their online business, want to expand and advertise and want to switch to a self-hosted WordPress site. But they are afraid to make the switch now their site is established. With this in mind, I started on a new business plan and today Phase One of the Blogger to WordPress site is launched.
It is intended that when the site is fully rolled out, I will offer two services, one of which will be a fully managed service to transfer existing Blogger sites over to a new WordPress site. I know this is going to be really popular.
However baby steps, one at a time, so today Phase One launches with an AMAZING OFFER for new bloggers, those looking to start a site, or those looking to start a second site.
Hop on over to Blogger to WordPress and get your free site now. And if you know of anyone who wants a site, a second site or might be interested in switching to WordPress – let them know too.
Oh, and do let the World know by sharing on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter etc. Thank you.
Stay tuned for the launch of Phase Two if you have a Blogger site and want to switch to WordPress.

Like Marcy, I’m very interested in the switch to WordPress. I’ve heard that there are a lot of benefits to switching over. I hope that when you get to Phase 2, you’ll include a list of why switching over would be beneficial for us WordPress illiterate people. LOL
I’m sharing this post on ALL of my Social Networks. Good luck with the new site.

I’ve been thinking about switching over and I love that you will SHOW us how to edit things. I like to be able to do my own stuff and not rely on someone else every time I want to change a color, etc. I tried filling out your form but it wasn’t showing up. Please email me if this offer is still open.

Hi Megin, I sent you the details. Yes, the offer is still open. And I love to make tutorial videos, so once the basic site is set up as you have requested, there are lots of videos that show you all about how to get started with WordPress, how to use it and how to customise your site. Its really not hard.

I’ve been thinking about buying my own domain instead of the ol’ “blogspot.com”. But I’m a little nervous about making the switch! I’m having a hard enough time just getting things together in blogger! It is something I’m thinking about, though!

Well you can always take a look through the tutorial videos on the Blogger to WordPress site and see how easy it is. If you already know the basics of how to use Blogger, then you will find wordpress easy – you’ll be up and running with it in no time. And with the tutorial videos you should soon get the hang of all things WordPress. I’m be happy to work with you on the switch or on a new site for you to have a play with and see how you like it.

Am happy to totally have skipped the blogger -phase and gone straight for self-hosting with a real url. This way you built your own internet asset, right from the get-go.

Good Afternoon Deby:
Is this offer still available? I have wanted to start a blog…like many others apparently. Ha.
If it is, may I ask why you would be willing to do this?
Thank you
Kim

Hi Kim, yes the offer is still available. Why am I doing this – because I am such a helpful person! No, honestly – it’s a long term plan. I figure if I do the work and pay out now, then over the course of time, all the people with sites I set up will hopefully continue to blog and enjoy them. Then once a year they’ll hopefully remember to renew their sites hosting using my link and I’ll earn a small commission. I’ll also earn a little advertising revenue if you watch my tutorial videos with the little adverts down at the bottom. Over the course of a few years, if a blogger keeps the site and gives me a commission each year, then I’ll be paid off for my work. And its a nice way to set up a passive income for a few years to come. I hope everyone will become a fan of Moms Make Money and perhaps might sign up to one or two of the offers I promote, buy a product I recommend, buy an add on service. Plus – I actually enjoy doing it too. I hope this answers your question.

Hi Katy. The full Blogger to WordPress service isn’t yet launched, just the new site set up for now. If you want to start a second site, sign up for this option now at BloggertoWordpress.com. If you want the full Blogger transfer to a new WordPress site, then do keep your eye on announcements at MMM for when Phase 2 is ready to launch. I’m currently on vacation, and hope to finalise Phase 2 a couple of weeks after my return. Then I expect to be very busy!
