I’m having this problem right now and can’t find where it’s coming from, so I might check out the Go Daddy Site Scanner. Thanks 🙂

Hi Vanessa, Yes, I can see you have the Malware Warning on your site right now. Its probably not your site which is infected – I’m going to drop you a message.

Interesting. It’s only $4.19 a month if you sign up for three years, though–and $6.99 a month if you sign up for 3 months, which is the minimum time.

So at the least it’s $21. It’s interesting. I don’t know if they can tell me how to fix my problem, though. I can’t find it, but if you search my site on any search engine it looks like my site has been hacked and google no longer links to my homepage anymore.

Hi, I was able to search for your site and found it Ok with Google, and the homepage. But I did see the header was missing, although once I clicked through to other pages it all looked fine. Sometimes its not a case of being hacked, its a case of being cloned. Because my site has a good Alexa score, it gets cloned ALL the time – I am regularly sending take-down notices to remove fake sites that look exactly like mine on other URLs. If you can send more info on the problem, I’d be interested to take a look, although I’m no expert and may not be able to help. Are you registered with webmaster tools? This can sometimes give you important Google info about your site and its listing if there is a problem.

I have been hacked big time before- where my site would totally redirect you to something bad news. I ran into Securi http://sucuri.net/ They are wonderful to work with. They can clean up your site and protect it from future. I subscribed to the year and they did a bunch of stuff a couple of times. They also have a free scan if you want to occasionally take a look. I found recently that i have been linked –spammers are leaving my link so i am getting connected with other keywords. I have used the disavow link files with google webmaster tools, but such a pain! nothing I can do now but wait for google to catch up to ‘that doesn’t belong to me’.

Thanks for sharing this other option Becky. Sounds like a similar service. I gave my sites a free scan and got the all clear which is good to know.
