I have been seriously considering signing up as a Craftsy affiliate. I think this is my sign :)! Thanks for linking-up with the Pin It Monday Hop!

I signed up with them on your recommendation awhile ago, my intention was to use links on my Wigmaking Blog, unfortunately there wasn’t very many compatible items except for some notions. But I will try and promote their classes now since I’ve kind of turned my Beauty Blog into an affiliate marketing product Blog. I did the because i’m on a “no-makeup buy” and it feels good to be able to make money now without spending any.

I signed up for Craftsy not too long ago. I have been paid for an ad post from them, but haven’t made any actual sales yet. Hopefully soon.

Good luck with it Elizabeth. I have found the greatest success in promoting the free courses and in reviewing a course I took myself.

This is a great source of traffic and money for me too. I just discovered the notions and supplies and have added those links to a few posts. Excited to see how it turns out.

the problem with craftsy is that they offer a lot of free class, so mostly, people who click through the links take them up instead of the paid ones, so as an affiliate our net revenue becomes very less. I am yet to figure out my way around this

Actually I find the opposite is true for me. If I encourage and promote that people try out the free classes, I think they are much more likely to be impressed with the quality and chose to sign up for the paid ones. You have 30 days from the time they click your link for them to either buy a product or a class, and you still earn the commission even if they took some free classes first.

Yes you can post an affiliate link on the Facebook page to recommend a product.

I just got approved for Craftsy and I love their website and I think the free classes are a great idea because you only get a brief overview. I would think with some of the more difficult DIY projects you need to take the courses they offer. I love to afford to take some of their courses and the products are very reasonably priced.
So how do you promote it? I posted a link on Facebook with my disclosure/disclaimer policy and wrote a little summery of the link.
Was that the way you do links?
