Disclosure policy

My aim at Moms Make Money is to help bloggers and small website owners learn about the various ways they can earn money from their online activities.  I’m only fairly new to this myself and learning along with you, doing a lot of research and trialing of products, schemes and networks so I can pass on my findings and recommendations to you.  I’ve been very encouraged to find that this site has been so useful to so many of you.

But all of my researching, posting to the website, writing the newsletters and recording videos takes an enormous amount of time and energy and I think it’s only right that I make a little money to cover my expenses for the website and be compensated for my work. So I undertake advertising on this site, and use affiliate links, both of which may provide me with an income.

Under no circumstances will clicking on any of the adverts or links, or buying any of the recommended products cost you any more money because of my affiliate membership. This I simply would not accept.  Please be assured, that while I might make money, I am not making money that is in any way to your detriment as a reader or buyer.

So I promise to you that I only recommend products I have either used personally and found useful, or that I have read about and researched and have no hesitation in recommending to the right circumstances.  Making a genuine recommendation and keeping my integrity is paramount and you should expect nothing less of anyone who markets to you online.

I am in the Cayman Islands and therefore not bound by the requirements of the FTC Regulations governing disclosure  but I chose to have this page anyway.  My earnings here and for my sewing blog at So Sew Easy are transparent and available – you can click on the Income page link above and see exactly what I earn and where I earn it each month.

I have not thought about a disclosure page. It is worth doing! Thanks for the tips.
